Super Nintendo System
Street Fighter video game cartridge for Super Nintendo
I remember after trading my regular Nintendo in at a video game store called Funcoland. For those who are not familiar with Funcoland, it was a game store that used to advertise buying your used games & systems and they would give you so much money for your system & cartridges (where you had to buy a game system or games using their store cash). Well, I remember trading my regular Nintendo and cartridges in and could only afford the Super Nintendo Street Fighter cartridge. I'm thinking to myself (what was I thinking) but somehow at 16, I was going to have to trust God that somehow that I was going to get a Super Nintendo too. To be honest I didn't think about it because I knew that I was either going to get a Super Nintendo as a present from either my mom or step-father or I would work and save up enough money to get me a Super Nintendo & cartridges too. Anyway, I will never forget what happened on December 25, 1994. I didn't receive any presents except the very one that I thought I would have to save up for and buy. I was so surprised when I opened up the gift and discovered it was a Super Nintendo that my mom & step-father both surprised me with. Once again I was in awe and was grateful!
I remember how much I played my regular Nintendo so much to the point where the part that plugged into the TV wire was bent to the point that my Nintendo wouldn't work anymore. I knew I was going to have to get a new video game system after having the Nintendo for 3 years. I still recall how I had to trade my video game system & the 8 cartridges along with my regular system. The one thing I remember about my step-father was that he always seemed to surprise me whenever the holidays came up and him & my mom would give me the gift I always wanted.
